They think they lost something last week, that they, in fact lost many years ago, and no longer have.

-Glenn Greenwald on 60 Minutes and the end of Corporate Media's influence.

*Unfortunately, despite their lesser or less blatant ideological biases when it came to reporting the news, news organizations like 60 Minutes and Frontline, and their so-called “real” journalists, were always Mockingbird Media (or Fake News, to use Trump’s updated term), infiltrated by the CIA. As Yuri Bezmenov explained in1984, the Black Op of total ideological subversion, what is now being referred to as “Dark Woke,” took time, took decades. People then were not allowed to behave the way people behave today. There were there still standards and codes of conduct that were required of public figures and public life. Evil and corruption took place regularly and freely, but it did so behind closed doors. Ideological agendas and plots were hidden by the mainstream establishment and the front (lie) of “real journalism.” The journalistic agenda masked the political agenda. Now it’s been flipped.

Actual real journalists (aka independent reporters and media critics who don’t have institutional or corporate backing) have always known this. I was one of them. Because I never belonged to an institution, group, or ideological agenda, I could see things more much clearly and was an honest critic because of it. No one controlled me and I wouldn’t let them when they tried. It was easy because I always valued truth over fame. So I turned a lot of things down in my life. A lot of people too (in retrospect, I think many of those people, all of whom went on to become famous and heavily promoted in their fields despite their total mediocrity, and whose interest in me was intense, aggressive, and fawning but always fleeting, were agents trying to recruit me in various ways.).

As I wrote in a number of posts a couple of weeks ago, the Hollywood movie Three Days of the Condor (1975) makes it very clear that the NY Times was controlled by intelligence agencies. The movie also reveals that many organizations, universities (we see this in Marathon Man as well), and institutions, were clandestine CIA operations and fronts. We are just beginning to see the unraveling and exposure of all this now. Hopefully the exposure is not just for show and not just temporary, though it’s beginning to feel that way.
